ADA Coordinator Toolkit
Many people get the responsibility for being the ADA Coordinator and not the background or education to go with it. Knowing the nuances of equal opportunity, program access, facility access, and how to manage a complaint procedure as a representative of a public entity, is a daunting endeavor.
Management of an ADA compliance program or office can vary from state to state and from county to county, as well as from city to city. What are the best practices for compliance and program access? We hope to answer this question with the tools we have brought together to support your compliance efforts.
As we build this toolkit we will be offering face to face training in the Northwest Region and supporting a Network of ADA Coordinators (NADAC) from within our region. We will also be offering the capability to converse with other ADA coordinators through bulletin boards and Wikis. We hope that this information will make your job easier and more interesting. Our staff has a long history as ADA Coordinators in our region and we are here to answer your questions and to brainstorm about your ideas on compliance and non-discrimination under the ADA.
