Partners Project

The Task Force needs you!!

Become a Partner of the ADA Task Force, and make a positive difference in your community. You will be assisting a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit provide services statewide. We are looking for two kinds of Partners, an Partner and an Internal Partner. Partners will assist the Task Force by providing materials, training, technical assistance and activities. An Internal Partner would assist the Task Force grow internally.

Partners will provide service in at least one of the following:

Partner Agreement

  • Training on the ADA, Accessible Information Technology and/or other related laws
  • Speak at workshops on behalf of the ADA Task Force
  • Job-site evaluations
  • Accessibility site surveys
  • Answer questions about the ADA and/or other disability related laws
  • Organizations can assist the ADA Task Force by sponsoring a board member or partner

Do you already provide these services in your occupation? Would it be easy to incorporate this into your occupation? Have you ever said to yourself "I wish I could make my community more accessible"? If you answered yes to any of these questions WE WANT YOU!!!!

A partner might be from any of the following areas:

  • People with Disabilities
  • Human Resources (Priority)
  • Employers (Priority)
  • Small and Large Business
  • Information Technology
  • Information Technology in Education K-12
  • Architect
  • Building Official
  • Contractors
  • Disability Organization

Internal Partners

We need internal partners too. It could be someone or organization who can assist us grow as an organization.

Could be from any of the following areas:

  • Resource Developer
    • fund raising, grant writing
    • has community resources (has a connection with an entity or agency who could assist the Task Force)
  • Legal and or Financial Professionals
    • legal and tax assistance
  • Volunteer Coordinator
  • Board Development
  • Printing Company
  • Agency or entity who would sponsor an event, such as: pay postage for a training announcement, pay printing costs for a brochure

What the ADA Task Force can offer its Partners

  • Free training and curriculum
    • Partners training is based on what your interests or profession is
  • Materials
    • The Task Force will provide all materials, training tools and support needed to provide services on behalf of the organization
  • Partners handbook
    • Extensive library with materials created by federal agencies mandated to enforce the ADA as well as materials created on behalf of federal agencies
